Good News - Students Can Now Work Unlimited Hours
Good News for student visa holders today.
Immigration has announced a temporary relaxation of working hours for student visa holders, this is due to workforce shortages.
It takes effect immediately and with it international students can now work before their course starts and work more than 40hrs a fortnight.
This applies to any sector of the economy and includes secondary applicants. Please remember that this is just a temporary measure and will be reviewed again by Immigration in April 2022.
Also note that students must still maintain their course enrolment, ensure satisfactory course attendance and ensure satisfactory course progress.
